Behind The Lens

The Masai Mara has been my home for most of 2019. I’m incredibly fortunate to spend a considerable amount of time working with Governors’ Camp, one of Kenya’s oldest safari operators. With four camps along the Mara River I spend my nights falling asleep to the sound of wallowing hippos, grazing elephants and occasionally hunting lions.

Literally outside my front door is an amazing variety of wildlife, with over 350 bird species, all of the big cats but most importantly to me an abundance of elephants. This gallery contains the perhaps less famous species that make up this incredible eco-system, but ones that are none the less very obliging subjects. I will never tire of photographing here.
